The Beach Boys

This seminar is based on two  field trips – Thu, April 7 and Fri, April 8

A short design exercise based on a “Karl Friedrich Schinkel research” starting with two field trips in and around Berlin. Special guest: Prof. Cramer.

Berlin: St. Elisabeth-Kirche, Friedrichswerdersche Kirche, Bauakademie, Neue Wache, Lustgarten, Altes Museum
Potsdam: Pfaueninsel, St. Nikolai-Kirche, Pomonatempel, Alexander-Newsk-Kirche, Schloss Charlottenhof

You are asked to analyze Schinkel’s buildings in drawings, diagrams, sketches and photos leading to an individual design concept. Therefore we like to visit and explore his buildings in Berlin and Potsdam during two full-time field trips on Thu, April 7 and Fri, April 8. Your presence on both days is needed.

The course language is English.
