HOW DO IDEAS TRAVEL?
The ever-same design of airports, shopping malls and exclusive residential enclaves lets us experience cities as generic places that seem to be replicating globally without any hint of local identity. At the same time we can observe forms of urban design that answer to very specific local contexts as people are increasingly self-organizing and appropriating their everyday environments.
Everybody is welcome to join our studio. For a start we would ask you to contribute with some of your ideas. Download “Aufgabe Null”. We are curious to see your suggestions.
In order to do so you need to print the developed view of Moriyama house first – from “house 1” to “house 10” ((10 houses all together)) plus one base!

ADIP Guest-Professorship 2013/2014
Translocation of Innovation in Architecture and Urban Design
from São Paulo/Mumbai/Hong Kong to Berlin
What if we put aside for a moment the individual effort of a singular architect’s vision and consider the fact that innovation is only happening when ideas travel?
What if we just move forward focusing our creativity on intelligently copy-paste what already proved to make a change?
In a world of hyper-connectivity the ability to process a high amount of circulating data requires more than just a global view – it rather calls for connecting many worlds, each of those built upon its particular modes of life and local flavors.
